Animation & Video Production

Over the course of 2018 and 2019, I have taken a serious interest in animation, as well as video production and design. This has included learning the process of creating videos, character design, storyboarding, planning, and production. I have so far created promotional, presentation, and educational materials using a number of different software including both online tools and Adobe products.

Digital Marketing Strategy

In 2017, I received a promotion with Encore Consulting Group to Marketing Strategist. During my time in this position, I was focused on developing strategies for the overall marketing efforts of the company. This included planning out social media, advertising efforts, on-page and SEO improvements, and more. A major project of this time was to redesign the company website, which I helped to plan, design, and build. I came to really enjoy working with strategy as it utilized a number of my skills, from understanding critical elements of marketing to project management.

Social Media Marketing

In mid-2017 I tackled a new marketing challenge: social media. With Encore Consulting, I single-handedly took on the challenge of creating a thriving online presence. The entire process included building content & topic banks, creating specific schedules for posting content across multiple channels, using a variety of online tools for automated scheduling and curating, and generated a targeted engagement strategy.  â€‹

Sales & Marketing Funnels

In 2017, my marketing studies led me to sales and marketing funnels. During this period of time, I focused on learning about what funnels are, the differences between sales and marketing funnels, and how to implement them for achieving marketing goals. I developed an understanding of the difference between a general website and a landing page and took time to create a number of landing pages for clients and my own projects. I have created funnels for lead generation, sign-ups, webinars, course selling, and more. Marketing funnels have since become a powerful skill that I use when making websites and a variety of other media and content.

In 2017, I acquired my certification for both Google AdWords & Analytics. Through Encore Consulting Group, I achieved proficiency with creating reports, analyzing trends & changes, as well as conducting research associated with demographics and user activity.

In 2018, I started a marketing company with a partner. This led to the taking on of a number of client-facing roles as well as implementing lead generation methods. By understanding the target audience and market I created offerings that solved client needs and provided the most value for our clients' budgets.

Search Engine Optimization

2017 was a big year for furthering my SEO abilities. I have had a hands-on involvement with not only the AdWords campaigns for Encore Consulting but also the entire funnel process. This has included building our domain authority through obtaining reputable backlinks, as well as improving our quality scores, and A/B Testing of different landing pages. As a part of our link building process, we also conducted extensive competitor, niche, and keyword research. We tracked our results through Google's Analytics software.
